Tips for finding your first wig

If you're new to the world of wigs and have hair loss, the first thing I'd like to tell you is don't push yourself to accept things right away, and don't feel guilty about any of the emotions you feel. Hair loss is a very hard road and it is normal to feel sad, frustrated, scared... all your emotions are valid. It's a very difficult transition, but remember that you're not alone, and that you're still the same, hairy or not.

When my hair fell out, I became a little obsessed with finding the perfect wig, and do I tell you a secret? I don't think it exists; I always find new models, tones and types of constructions to try. So I have fun and enjoy the chosen model, I will have the opportunity to try others later.

It's important that you take your time, research, search and rummage to find your wig, but you also need to know when to take a break. Hair loss is usually very hard and can be devastating, so sometimes it's good to step away from the "hair world" and take perspective.

If you look for the wig exactly like the hair you had before, you won't always find it; you can always stylize your hair, ask your headdress hairdresser to cut it and adjust it to your style, use accessories such as hairpins, handkerchiefs, etc ... give it a try, you will soon feel good about it.

It is very useful to see how the wigs look to the others, the photos in the models are useful, but the videos are much more so; on youtube you will find girls showing wigs, look for your model and you will probably find a video that shows you the hair in motion. It was very useful to me when I started in the world of wigs, and I still use it.

Look for features that add realism to the wig, such as a monofilament part where the hair separates, or lace front to remove the hair from the face. There are different types of tapas with different characteristics, choose the most suitable for you.

A hair that is too perfect looks like more of a wig. Biological hair has its imperfections and is not always perfect, do not insist that your wig is. I never comb or style them too much (in fact, most of them I comb them with my fingers). That it has shorter hairs (baby hairs) and that it is not perfect, brings realism.

Don't be afraid to invest some money in your pieces. With proper care, they can last a long time. Do not trust pages where the prices are excessively cheap or are not official distributors of recognized brands, usually the quality is terrible and can be money thrown away (I tell you from experience).

Synthetic hair wigs are cheaper than natural hair wigs, but they don't have to be worse and look unnatural;each has different characteristics; the choice between natural or synthetic hair depends on your time, budget and lifestyle. In the photo, only one of them is natural hair, could you say which one it is?

That you have a bad experience, does not mean that the wigs are not for you, it may be that you are not lucky and that it is not the most appropriate choice, let yourself be advised by a professional, surely he can help you, and always look for brands and pages of trust.

And finally... have fun! Changing your image instantly can become a lifestyle (it's my case); I use different types of fluff depending on the season, what I do or even the clothes I wear, take control of your image!
